I have cancer. The treatment suggested is aggressive chemotherapy. This is not the course of action I want to take. However, my friends and family do not support my decision. How can I get them to understand that this is my health, my life and my choice?
Gwen’s Answer:
This is an excellent question. You can tell them you know they want you to do chemo so you will be around longer. However quality of life is more important to you. You want to enjoy your time as much as possible without dealing with the effects of chemotherapy. And you can tell them it would be a gift to you if they would support you in this.
